The First Monograph of celebrated French Poet and philosopher Eugénie Paultre, Outline presents 80 of Paultre’s recent paintings and drawings, created in 2016 and 2017.

A master of colour, Paultre’s abstract works feature carefully selected lines of colours that create beautifully balanced and evocative visuals. Paultre applies the same philosophical insight and poetic prowess used in her academic and creative writing to her painting, resulting in powerful, meditative works.

This book features an introductory text by Emmanuel Daydé and notes by Eugénie Paultre in both English and French.

Eugénie Paultre is an artist, poet and philosopher based in France. She has taught at the University of Paris, Sorbonne. Paultre has previously published a number of poetry collections. This is her first art book.

An accompanying exhibition showcasing a selection of the paintings featured in Outline will run from 20th April to 13th May at HENI, 6-10 Lexington Street, London, W1F 0LB. For more details click here.
