A numbered edition, limited to 800 copies, 40 Tage is a series of 40 graphite-on-paper drawings by Gerhard Richter produced between May and September 2015.
Gerhard Richter is a German artist who lives and works in Cologne, Germany. Considered to be one of the most eminent artists of the present day, Richter’s impressive career spans five decades. Exploring the medium of painting and its many facets, his work also incorporates other mediums such as photography and drawing. Richter has exhibited internationally, including a major retrospective, Panorama, at Tate Modern, London; Centre Georges Pompidou, Paris and Alte und Neue Nationalgalerie, Berlin, in 2012.
